The Salon Art Prize 2011 application deadline was:
5pm (GMT), Saturday 13th August, 2011
Accepted media
Painting, Sculpture and Installation (including sound) and 2-D Media (which includes drawing, collage, printmaking etc).
Prizes and Awards
To celebrate the fifth year of the Salon Art Prize we awarded three separate prizes of £1000.
£1000 2-D - Rudolf Reiber
£1000 Painting - Helen Kincaid, sponsored by John Jones
£1000 Sculpture - Freddy Dewe Mathews
As part of the painting prize John Jones will also generously support
Helen Kincaid with £500 of artists surfaces support and an exhibition opportunity.
Selection Procedures
In order to create an exhibition that reflects the breadth of creative activity across the Salon Art Prize submissions will be divided into three categories, each headed by one of the selection panel.

Robert Leckie - (Exhibitions Curator, Gasworks)
We offered the selectors the opportunity to select up to 100 practitioners and have in the past exhibited between 39 and 83 artists per exhibition.
The Salon Art Prize is open to all Associate Members of Matt Roberts Arts. Membership costs £10 for UK and international applicants (payable by paypal, cheque or postal order). Further membership information is available on the Matt Roberts Arts website.
